The atmosphere created was family. We had family suite on the first level instead of the ground level.

This hotel is completely charming. Rooms are super cute with fabulous views day and night, the interior courtyard is lovely and dinner is served up with some truly theatrical opera! They also serve a good steak, which can be a bit of a rarity in Cusco. The beds are located on a mezzanine floor, accessed by a tiny spiral staircase. The window opposite allows for some stargazing by night. Breakfast comes with a beautiful view over the city too. The meal itself is modest but satisfying. One tip, if you suffer from the altitude, take a room on the ground floor! Stairs are a killer when you are still acclimatising!

Unfortunately was one of the worst services, I do a fair amount of travelling and even though the hotel is nice the service was terrible, I booked this hotel for me and 9 friends and felt embarrassed on the way we were treated. They blamed low season to the lack of staff and prompt attention to any request, as well as having restaurant closed. Upon arrival it took 40minutes for someone to even open the door and another 1.5hour to check us in, weather in Cusco was very cold during day and when we asked to lit fireplace the answer was that they only do it after 6pm, same with bar service.

The hotel has a good location, in a elegant Neighborhood and very close tu Plaza de Armas. I enjoy the old fashion style but especially, the hotel's restaurant service and food, I think is Great
Maybe the room they give you trought booking promotion, its a little one, oscure and located in the farest córner at the hotel complex.

I love the hotel ambiance, also the interiors are nice as they really give you a feeling of old Spanish colonial style which was what I wanted.
RECEPTION-doesnt speak good enough English to understand simple instructions & confused with hotel arrangement esp hotel transfer. INTERNET- cant use my own ip address as its "already used by another user" huh? BREAKFAST-not so much options

The staff are such friendly people.
Although it's located near Plaza de Armas, its facilites not correspond to reality. Many times there wasn't neither hot nor warm water in the bathroom. The temperature average was about 8ºc. In check-out I was surprised with a 20% extra fee and additional tax. I've paid with credit card and the amount was changed to Soles. They've applied an extremely disadvantageous exchange rate. 1US$ dollar corresponding to 2,80 Soles, which increased my final bill by 20%. I really disapprove of this conduct of the hotel.

Cozy bed, big bathroom, a safe, TV, and a nice sitting area in the room. Plus, you've got private parking right here. 🚗 Also, the check-in process was quick and easy for early birds.

Arqueologo was a very nice place to stay at. The staff was very attentive and responsive to all needs. There are no TVs or phones in the rooms which we initially thought would be a problem but it wasn't. It was a five minute walk to the main square in Cusco. We truly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend it.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
